Graffiti legend Futura has always been one to make his hugely in demand work accessable for all, and this new series of Canvas Prints follows suit. Available online through Futura Laboratories is a series of works which see the Brooklyn based artist work his iconic pointmen on top of Leonardo Da Vinci prints. Each print is made to order with a delivery time of around 3-weeks. Prices and sizes of the prints vary from 257mm/301mm/ 21mm to 515mm/603mm/42mm in size and $268 to $535 in cost. Available here.

The lauded Banksy piece “Weapon of Choice” made its debut on the streets and traveled to the Marks & Stencils show in London. Now three versions of the recognizable work are being offered to the public in extremely limited quantities. There will be a large grey, and smaller red, blue and green iterations of the artwork. The grey piece is limited and numbered to 100, and the other palettes are limited to just 25 pieces. You’ll have to register for a lottery at Pictures on Walls for a privilege to procure any piece, priced at £450.00. All of Banksy’s royalties will benefit the Russian based VOINA artist cooperative.

As previewed here, the eighth instalment of Curated by Arkitip is now available and features works by artist José Parlá. Working with various protective cases manufactured by Incase, Parlá has had three of his original artworks transposed onto the products. Each of the artworks chosen adopts Parlá’s familiar calligraphic style, as each product remains faithful to the works’ original aesthetics. The Slider Case sits alongside the 15” Pro Sleeve and the Convertible Book Jacket which were each constructed from a premium pebbled leather. Designed for the iPhone 4, MacBook and iPad respectively, each case is now available here from today.

In promotion of the much anticipated movie TRON: LEGACY, Marvel has just unleashed these preview shots of a forthcoming Tron inspired comic book series. Combining established superheroes with Tron imagery, some of the characters featured include Spiderman, Thor and Captain America. The Tron variants will go on sale between November and December of this year. For those interested in the movie itself, a worldwide release is currently scheduled for December.

Mickey Mouse Bear brick

Japanese toy company Medicom Toy has teamed up with Disney to create a Mickey Mouse version Bearbrick. Two sizes will be available including the 400% and the much sought after 1000%. The 400% will retail for 6,090 YEN while the 1000% will go for 26,040 YEN. The figures won’t be released until May 2009 but pre-orders are available now if you’re in Japan.
