<p>With a few different automotive makers taking a pass on the upcoming <a onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview ('/outbound/');" href="http:///"><span style="color: #0298ff;">Detroit Auto Show</span></a>, the <a onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview ('/outbound/www3.mercedes-benz.com');" href="http://www3.mercedes-benz.com/mbcom_v4/xx/en.html"><span style="color: #0298ff;">Mercedes Benz</span></a> and <a onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview ('/outbound/www.mclaren.co.uk');" href="http://www.mclaren.co.uk/"><span style="color: #0298ff;">McLaren</span></a> partnership has offered a bright spot as they look to present their SLR Stirling Moss, the last car to be produced under the MB/McLaren union. A first glance at the car’s exterior features an innovative long-reaching frame with a special windshield-less experience for an unsurpassed road experience. With a legendary racing pedigree, the SLR also pays homage to British race car driver Stirling Moss, who’s still the current record holder for the <a onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview ('/outbound/en.wikipedia.org');" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mille_Miglia"><span style="color: #0298ff;">Mille Miglia</span></a>. On a performance side of things, the SLR Stirling Moss will make the sprint of 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds and achieve a top speed of 217 mph despite the seemingly unaerodynamic cockpit.</p>
